What happens if I don't get to one of the aid stations before it closes?

The La Ruta organization will have a sweep vehicle to pick you up and transport you to the finish line. Competitors must board the sweep vehicle or be subject to disciplinary action. If you are competing as part of a group, ensure the entire group stays in contact. If one of your group members goes missing, inform a member of the organization as soon as possible by dialing the emergency numbers on your bike license plate or the bracelet on your wrist. If you decide to abandon the race, you must inform an organization member at the nearest Aid Station.
